Annette de Jong joined Pels Rijcken in 2013 after having practised employment law since 2000. She assists employers in navigating through complex employment law issues. In addition to providing legal counsel and litigation defence, she works closely with clients to address such issues as employee co-determination, re-integration of ill or injured employees, transfer of undertaking and employee dismissal. Annette has specific expertise in statutory directorship, also in the international context of foreign shareholders, and is regularly involved in acquisitions and the due diligence process accompanying such transactions.
Annette received her master’s degree in Dutch Civil Law from Maastricht University. She successfully completed the postgraduate programme in Employment Law, PALA, in 2014, and is currently a lecturer for the Sdu. She is also a member of the Netherlands Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN), the Employment Law Association (VvA), The Hague Employment Lawyers Association (VHAA), the Rotterdam Employment Lawyers Association (VRAA), as well as the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA), and the International Bar Association. She is fluent in spoken and written English and is a regular contributor to our Employment and Public Service Law Blog.
