Arno Geleijnse has been with Pels Rijcken since 2011 and joined the Administrative Law department in 2018. He practises general administrative law, specialising in government transparency (Wob), oversight and enforcement law and administrative organisation law. Arno has extensive experience in (complex) administrative proceedings, representing the Dutch State, local authorities and regulatory authorities, among others. Arno has a keen eye for political-administrative relations and their importance in determining a procedural strategy.
He attended Leiden University where, in addition to the law programme, he studied political science for a number of years and attended courses in business sciences. He graduated cum laude in 2011 with a master’s degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law. Arno is a regular contributor to legal journals and has been one of the authors of the Chronicle of General Administrative Law in the Netherlands Law Journal (NJB) since 2012. He is also a regular contributor to (in-house) courses and training programmes, including the Academy for Government Lawyers. He became a member of the appeals committee of the municipality of Dordrecht in 2018.
