Esther van Veen joined Pels Rijcken’s Corporate Law team in 2016. She previously practised law at a reputable firm in Curaçao for more than five years. Esther specialises in Dutch corporate law, as well as Curaçao law. Besides acting for governments, she regularly represents national and multinational companies in commercial disputes and advises on issues relating to corporate governance and the (liability) position of directors and regulatory authorities.
Esther studied Dutch Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Dutch Antillean law at the University of the Netherlands Antilles. Esther graduated cum laude in 2017 with a master’s degree from the Grotius Specialist programme in Business and Corporate Law. She is fluent in English and has a good command of German and Spanish. Esther is a member of the Dutch Corporate Litigation Association and the Dutch Civil Law Association.
