Floor Veldhuis was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 2018. She is an associate in the Litigation & Arbitration Practice group and the Supreme Court department. She represents (international) private companies and public authorities in cases involving all areas of civil and procedural law. The cases litigated (varying from interim relief proceedings to class action proceedings) are often complex disputes involving liability, compensation and international (private) law. Furthermore, she provides judicial and extrajudicial advice to (commercial) entities in the field of liability and contract law.
Floor graduated cum laude from Leiden University with a master’s degree in Civil Law. After earning her master's degree, Floor lectured at Leiden University. She is deputy secretary of the Association of Civil Supreme Court Lawyers (VCCA), a member of the Dutch Lawyers Association and a member of the Young Litigators Association. She has several academic publications to her name and is a regular contributor to our Supreme Court blog (www.cassatieblog.nl). Floor is affiliated with the Institute of Private Law of University Leiden as a Guest Staff Member as of 1 February 2020.
