Floortje de Bruijn joined Pels Rijcken’s Administrative Law department in 2009. As a specialist in oversight and enforcement, Floortje frequently represents public regulators, such as the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets, the Dutch Central Bank and the Dutch Media Authority, in administrative proceedings on enforcement decisions. Floortje regularly litigates in proceedings under administrative law at the Rotterdam District Court, the Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal and the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State.
She serves as a frequent guest lecturer at the Academy for Government Lawyers and, as an alumna, at Utrecht University, among others. Every year, Floortje writes the Jurisprudence (financial) oversight chronicle for the Dutch Financial Law Journal. She received her master’s degree in Private Law from Utrecht University. She completed part of her curriculum at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen.
