Irene Spierings has been an attorney-at-law since 2018. She litigates and advises on a variety of administrative law issues, with a particular focus on supervision and enforcement, with a focus on the financial sector. Irene assists clients, especially supervisory authorities, in procedures conducted on enforcement decisions taken by them. She also has specific knowledge of the Wwft and compliance issues.
Irene studied at Leiden University, where she also worked as a teaching and research assistant after graduating. During her studies she worked for a number of years as a court clerk at the District Court of The Hague. From 2019 to 2021, Irene worked as a lawyer at NautaDutilh. Irene is a member of the Administrative Law Association (VAR).
