Jeroen Naves specialises in ICT law. He advises and litigates on ICT contracts, cloud computing, outsourcing, and data and privacy. Jeroen assists clients who are planning to purchase software, hardware or ICT services or who are confronted with issues related to ICT projects that require legal attention. He was for instance one of the reviewers of government-wide telecommunication and data communication contracts and drafted contract documents as part of a major tendering process for the development of a housing system. Jeroen also represents both Dutch government bodies and national and international companies in civil proceedings and preliminary relief proceedings. He has broad experience as a litigator in complex disputes, especially in the field of contract law and procurement law. Jeroen is a major adviser to Dutch government bodies that are considering procuring cloud services.
Jeroen received his master's degree in Dutch Private Law from the University of Utrecht. He also completed additional specialist courses on Contracts and ICT at the University of Tilburg. Jeroen is the chairman of Chamber B of the Appeals Board KNKV and member of the Dutch Privacy Law Association, the Dutch Lawyers Association, the Dutch Information Technology and Law Association and the Netherlands Outsourcing Platform.
