Jotte Mulder

Jotte Mulder has been working at Pels Rijcken since 2022 and specializes in EU and competition law. Jotte handles cases in all areas of EU and competition law, including in particular cartel rules, internal market, merger control, abuse of power and EU state aid law. He assists both private parties and public authorities.

Jotte studied European law at the University of Amsterdam. Before joining Pels Rijcken, Jotte worked as legal counsel at the ACM, where he acted as a primary legal counsel in competition law proceedings and designed the renewed sustainability policy, among other things. Before that, Jotte was a lawyer (EU and competition law) at Stibbe. Jotte holds a PhD in European economic law from the European University Institute in Florence. He still lectures regularly in the Law & Economics master program at Utrecht University. Jotte has published many articles and a book in his field, entitled Social Legitimacy In the Internal Market.
