Maarten Jansen joined Pels Rijcken’s Supreme Court, Civil Procedural Law and IP&T departments in 2014. He advises and litigates before the Dutch Supreme Court and lower courts in a broad range of civil law areas, such as IP and media law, contract law, corporate law, bankruptcy law and labour law. Maarten is a Supreme Court litigator.

He graduated cum laude from Leiden University with an MA and PhD in classical languages. During his doctoral programme, he studied civil law and graduated cum laude from the Open University. Maarten is a member of the editorial team of our Supreme Court blog . He is also deputy secretary of the Civil Supreme Court Lawyers Association (VCCA) and a member of the Dutch Procedural Law Association (NVvP) and the Dutch Lawyers Association (NJV).
