Merel Rooijakkers was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 2016, and joined Pels Rijcken in 2018. Merel advises and litigates on a wide range of issues in the field of construction and procurement law. In addition, she has extensive experience in the field of company law, with a special focus on national and international arbitration.
Merel graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a master’s degree in Dutch Private Law. During her studies, she did various traineeships in the judiciary and the legal profession. She also studied at Columbia Law School in New York for a semester. Before joining Pels Rijcken, Merel practised law in Rotterdam.
