Merle de Vries has been with the Administrative Law department since 2014. The focus of her practice is healthcare governed by public and private law. She has specific knowledge of healthcare quality, health insurance law and pharmaceutical law and has experience with disciplinary proceedings.
She is co-author of the annual Chronicle of jurisprudence in administrative law in the healthcare law journal, Tijdschrift voor Gezondheidsrecht. She is also a member of the editorial team of Healthcare Law (GZR) Updates, and a member of the Health Law Association (VGR) and the Pharma and Law Association (VFenR). Before being admitted to the Dutch Bar, Merle worked for the Dutch government for five years, including for the office of the Prime Minister. Her experience and feel for administrative and political correlations add significant value in her healthcare practice.
