Rik den Boer has worked at Pels Rijcken since 2020, where he is part of the Litigation & Arbitration practice group. He advises and litigates on a wide range of topics in the field of liability law, corporate law and contract law. Rik focuses particularly on financial-economic issues and the financial sector. For example, Rik has recently been involved in cases regarding investment insurance policies, the liability of listed shareholders for the actions of companies in which they invested, and various inquiry proceedings before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. Rik also regularly assists financial regulators, both in and out of court.
Rik completed his master's degree in Financial law at Radboud University cum laude. Subsequently, Rik attended the European Master in Law & Economics at the University of Haifa, Erasmus University Rotterdam and Warsaw School of Economics. Rik is a member of the Financial Law Association (VvFR) and the Corporate Litigation Association (VCL). He is an author for Sdu OpMaat Financial Law and regularly provides guest lectures to students of Tilburg University on the corporate inquiry procedure.
