Rob Gehring joined Pels Rijcken in 2014. Having a strong European and civil law basis, he focuses on competition law, liability law, state aid and free trade, advising and litigating on behalf of public authorities and non-departmental public bodies and companies in civil and administrative proceedings. His recent work includes litigating in a significant takeover dispute, in complex European state aid proceedings, and in an appeal against the prohibition of a hospital merger. He also assisted the Tax and Customs Administration in a matter of principle against a trust office in connection with tax evasion. In addition, Rob is involved as litigator in various class action suits against listed companies.
Rob received a master’s degree in Economy and in Dutch Law from Radboud University, graduating cum laude in both programmes.
