Susanne Kingma joined Pels Rijcken in 2018 and specialises in (EU) competition law. She advises on and litigates in cases involving cartels, cartel damage claims, abuse of power, mergers and competition law aspects of commercial contracts. She advises national and multinational companies and public authorities in these cases. Susanne is particularly interested and experienced in cases in the transport, medical and (renewable) energy sectors.
Before joining Pels Rijcken, Susanne practised law for two years at a highly reputable law firm in Stockholm. She also gained experience at a large law firm specialising in competition law in Brussels. She studied Dutch law and earned her master’s degree in European Law from Leiden University. She then went on to obtain an LL.M. in Corporate/ Commercial Law, with a focus on European Competition and State Aid Law, from the London School of Economics. Susanne is fluent in English and Swedish. She is also a member of the Dutch Competition Law Association.
