Thijs Beumers has been a lawyer with Pels Rijcken since 2021. He works in the Supreme Court Litigation department, where he advises on and litigates cases encompassing the full range of private law and civil procedure.
Thijs studied Private Law and Political Science at Leiden University. After that, he was a doctoral candidate and worked as a lecturer at the Private Law department at the same university. In the summer of 2021, he will be defending his doctoral thesis on the protection of intangible contractual interests under compensation law. Thijs lectures and publishes on a regular basis. He is a contributor to Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Burgerlijk Recht [Dutch Journal of Civil Law].
