Tosca ten Kroode joined Pels Rijcken’s Criminal Law and Civil (Procedural) Law departments in 2016. She mainly acts on behalf of the Dutch State in civil proceedings and preliminary relief proceedings with criminal and criminal law enforcement aspects, whereby the focus of her work is on liability law. In addition, Tosca specialises in compensation claims, in particular for physical injury. Tosca has a special interest in the public sector and frequently acts on behalf of the Dutch government.
Tosca graduated cum laude with a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences and a BA in Law from University College Utrecht. During her academic pursuits, she studied in Leeds as an exchange student. She then obtained an MA in Criminology from the University of Cambridge and a master’s degree in Dutch Private Law from VU Amsterdam. Tosca gained experience as a lawyer at the International Criminal Court and as a working student at a number of law firms.
